SHOP Katrinka by Kathryn Phillips

Kathy Phillips is a Pittsburgh native raised in a family that nurtured her artistic talent. She started her adventure at age five selling her artwork door to door to the local neighbors. She has a love of sewing, and creating anything and everything from fabric. She received a M.F.A. at the University of Connecticut in costume design. Kathy spent the last 25+ years working in the corporate world as a Textile Designer, Fashion Illustrator and Creative Director for the Home, Apparel, and Quilting/Craft Industry. Kathy recently opened her art studio creating her own unique art quilts, textile designs and artwork. She won first place and best of show in the Art and Abstract Quilt category at the Charlotte Quilt show. Her textile collections for FreeSpirit Fabrics truly displays her love of nature and the natural processes she uses to create her unique collections of fabric.
